This thesis investigates particle clustering in uniform and non-uniform turbulent flows. It not only considers particle inertia as driver for clustering, but also generalizes the findings obtained in this work to other phenomena that produce a drift velocity of the particle with respect to the fluid flow, namely thermophoresis, diffusiophoresis and chemotaxis.
